Dear Palliative Care Voices guests. I am Dr Stephen Connor, executive director of the Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance. We host this website, originally for Lucy Watts before her death. More recently Dr Helena Davies was helping us as a person with lived experience to start to build a Palliative Care Voices community. Helena’s illness has progressed and she is now no longer able to help. Fortunately, one of the WHPCA trustee, Dr Stephen Watiti from Uganda has stepped up to help. Dr Stephen is a member of our board and has had some extraordinary experiences with life threatening illness that he can tell you about. He will soon be working as a volunteer to help build a community where people with lived experience of palliative care and their families can speak out. Our hope is to partner with you to help those that cannot access palliative care to get the care they need through advocacy and information. Please stay tuned!!
